Donald D. LoConte, O.D.

Dr. LoConte was born and raised in Evergreen Park, Illinois and received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.

Dr. LoConte has been published in the Journal of Glaucoma and brings a thorough medical background to Fisher-Swale-Nicholson Eye Center. Before practicing optometry, he worked for a major pharmaceutical company.

His externship rotations included time spent at the West-Side Veterans Administration Hospital in Chicago and the Center for Advanced Medicine at the University of Chicago Hospital. Dr. LoConte has also received additional training from Dry Eye University and Dry Eye Institute.

Dr. LoConte is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association and has participated in medical missions in Guatemala, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Brazil.

Dr. LoConte jointed Fisher-Swale-Nicholson Eye Center in 2006 and also owned his own private practice for 12 years. His focus at Fisher-Swale-Nicholson Eye Center includes primary care, ocular disease and he leads our Dry Eye Clinic.

In his spare time, Dr. LoConte enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys playing guitar and is an avid sports fan.
